Members engage and collaborate with one another by posting content and comments.
Posting content
Users may create events, ideas, PDSAs, questions, resources, and wins by selecting one of the available options from the drop-down menu in the header bar (1) and clicking the "Go" button (2).
Keep in mind, however, that just as your particular NICHQ CoLab community may not feature all of the primary sections described in the help area "Navigating the site", so too may you not necessarily be able to post content for all types.
Each of these actions (e.g., "promote an event") will bring up its own unique form, with fields appropriate to the type of content you're creating. For some of the more lengthy forms—like events, PDSAs, and resources—you should refer to the help text (3) below each field for guidance. PDSAs, in particular, will be covered in more detail in a separate help area of this site (to come).
Commenting
Users can add their own comments to existing posts either when viewing its own page (i.e., by clicking its title from one of the listing sections) or from the Feed itself. In both cases, you'll see an "Add new comment" button (4) toward the bottom of the post.
Clicking that button will reveal a text area, with some simple formatting options (5). When you're done writing in your comment, click the "Save" button (6) to submit it.
The page will refresh and you'll see your comment posted as the first one above any other comments that may have been submitted previously (7). The CoLab will, by default, only show the two most recent comments on any particular post. To see more, click the "Display all comments" button (8) or click into the particular post (again, by clicking its title).
