Digests summarize the content and discussions posted to the NICHQ Collaboratory community, and are sent out to members by email on either a daily or weekly basis. By default, when you first create an account or when a site moderator creates one for you, your digest preferences are set to "Weekly", but you can also turn them off entirely. In addition, unless the site moderator has made site-wide changes, these emails are sent at 5pm Eastern and, for the weekly digests, on Fridays.
