- As noted in the "Data entry #1" help article, there are four types of measures available in the CoLab data portal: count, ratio, categorical, and text (i.e., qualitative). Given that ordinarily raw data are not entered into the CoLab (it's not a survey tool), categorical-type measures are ordinarily used for selecting a team self-assessment score. Here you simply click the select box and pick from a list of options.
- Text measures, like categorical measures, are also most often used for team self-assessments, and for describing successes, barriers, or challenges encountered during the month (or quarter, depending on the period).
- You may also see additional "attribute" selections associated with a particular measure (oftentimes text measures). In the example above, the attribute Status of Test of Change allows the data manager to select from scores associated with the IHI Assessment Scale for Collaboratives.
- When you're ready to submit your data entry form, which will trigger an email to your coach or improvement advisor for feedback, click the green "Save and Submit" button.
- If you accidentally advanced the workflow to "Submitted" in the previous step—or if you have additional data to enter that may have been unavailable when the form was originally submitted—you can click the blue "Save and Review" button, which will pull the data entry form back into the "Draft" state (note, however, that this will not undo the email sent previously when first submitted). Moreover, this will remove the data from any resulting charts in the "Reports" area (see the "Reports" help section for more detail).
